“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!”
God’s Glory comes down! This time He comes down as a Person. The omnipotent Creator of the universe becomes a vulnerable, helpless baby. No more a transcendent and faceless God to some, but the immanent Reality. The Glory of God in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ, incarnates as a man, completely identifying with mankind. God’s redeeming love for the world is confirmed.
We celebrate with God Himself, the host of heaven, a myriad of angels, the saints that have gone before us, and with millions around the world (including adherents of other religions) who pause on this day to recognize, even unconsciously or unknowingly, that God’s Glory came down!
May the Glory of God fill your hearts and home as you glorify Him, just as the shepherds did nearly 2,000 years ago!
Beholding His glory,
