We greet you in this new and momentous year of change in the Name of our eternal and sovereign God Who never changes!!
In reflecting upon this upcoming year, we are reminded that God will not be surprised with the shocking revelations, both in His Church and world, which will be coming. He is bringing all things to their determined end and destiny—glory to Himself and to the Lamb (Col. 1:15,16; Rev. 11:15)!
We are not to be quickly shaken in our minds with the present or future events of time (II Thess. 2:2). God’s Kingdom cannot and will not be shaken (Heb. 12:26-29). The Lord’s Kingdom is eternal—the Nebuchadnezzars, Caesars, presidents or kings of this world shall not prevail (Psa. 2)! The Lord is doing a powerful work of tearing down the present idols of gold and glory. “His Kingdom shall break in pieces and consume all other kingdoms … and it shall stand forever” (Dan. 7:14,27). History proves that truth is repeating itself, even before our eyes. Even now, the gates and strongholds of the kingdoms of men in our nation are shaking before the judgmental Hand of God. Oh, if we would hear and heed … “it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah …”
Keep looking down! (See Eph. 2:6.) We are not defeated, depressed, or disillusioned. The Goal is still before us (Titus 2:11-14; Phil. 3:14,15). The Mission remains the same (Matt. 24:14; II Pet. 3:1-15). The Lord remains “high and lifted up” to “show Himself strong in behalf of those whose heart is perfect before Him” (II Chron. 16:9; Dan. 11:32b). Until then, we work while we wait … work while it is day … and we pray while we keep sleepless vigilance to any and all attacks of the Enemy—diversions, spiritual laziness, divided hearts, selfish love, divisions within His Church, the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the unnatural desires for other things (Mark 13:32-37; 4:19). We press on, knowing the End is near, the rewards imminent, and best and most importantly, the glory of the Lord shall fill the whole earth, as the waters cover the sea (Hab. 2:14). Our Hope and Future is within the Veil—as secure as the very Throne of God itself (Heb. 6:17-20)!
Be encouraged. The Lord has not abdicated His throne. March forward in the normal duties and privileges of ministry, expecting in faith the manifested and sovereign presence of His Glory to surprise you!
Your continued and faithful support in finances, prayer, and encouragement continue to bless us. I just returned from 6 weeks of ministry in Europe to national leaders, students, churches, schools, ethnic churches, families, and individuals. The Lord faithfully blessed through His Word and Spirit. I have been asked to return to Europe in March. Carmen may join me. We are presently arranging our itinerary. Your prayers are deeply appreciated!
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you in every way … may you experience the refreshing presence of His Spirit and Word … may you grow in Him, filled with the fruits of righteousness and the knowledge of His will … and may you increase and abound in the knowledge of God. This day and this year (should He tarry) is the Lord’s!
Know you are in our prayers continually. It would be a joy to see you again. It has been a long time! If we can serve you, do let us know. Our God reigns! Jesus is Lord! Maranatha!
